ABSTRACT:
Two simple, accurate, reproducible and economical requiring no prior separation procedures for simultaneous estimation of Levosulpiride and Esomeprazole in capsule dosage form have been developed. First method employs formation and solving of simultaneous equation using 234nm and 300nm as analytical wavelengths for both drugs in methanol. The second method is Q value analysis based on measurement of absorptivity at 241 nm (as an isosbestic point) and 300nm. Levosulpiride and Esomeprazole at their respective ?max 234nm and 300nm and at isosbestic point 241nm shows linearity in the concentration range of 1-20 µg/mL. The proposed methods are recommended for routine analysis since these are sensitive and reliable.
